2007 Judges

07frazer: Phil Frazer

A native Nebraskan, Phil has resided in Nashville, Tennessee for the past 12 years, where he serves as the State Director for both the Mrs. Tennessee and Miss Teen Tennessee International Pageants. He is a certified judge with the Miss America Organization and has judged local, state, and national pageants throughout the United States. In the Nashville area, he has served as an Interview Coach to numerous contestants in a variety of pageant systems. Phil is employed by one of the largest banks in the Southeast as an Assistant Vice-President of Staffing and Recruitment, overseeing the sourcing, interviewing and acquisition of new employees to the company He is a volunteer with the Nashville Humane Association where he assists with the socialization of animals in an effort to get them adopted into permanent homes, and Phil’s hobbies include arena football, collecting autographs, and enjoying traditional country music.





07berry: Aisha Berry

Aisha Berry, a native from Cincinnati, is a graduate from the University of Cincinnati. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an Associate’s degree in Pre-business Administration. Aisha is no stranger to pageantry, as she won the title of Miss Ohio USA 2005 and competed in the Miss USA pageant (owned by Donald Trump, NBC, and Universal) that was aired live on NBC. As a runway, print, in-store, and cover model, Aisha has modeled for various designers and stores including Dennis Basso and Saks Fifth Avenue. Aisha’s most recent work was an appearance in a television commercial.








07beagle: Amanda Beagle

Amanda Beagle, Soprano, is a 2003 cum laude graduate of Youngstown State University's Dana School of Music, where she received her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. She has performed leading soprano roles in several operas and musical comedies including: Musetta in La Bohème, Atalanta in Zerxes, Laetitia in The Old Maid and the Thief, Kim in Bye Bye Birdie, Anna in The King and I, and Della in The Gift of the Magi. Most recently she appeared as Barbarina in Opera Western Reserves production of Le nozze diFigaro. In October 2006, Amanda was a featured soloist performing Mozart's L'amerò sarò costante with the Warren Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Susan Davenny Wyner. Miss Beagle has also been a featured soloist with the Packard Band, Stephen Foster Chorus and Seraphim Chorus and Orchestra. A winner of both the Giorgio Tozzi Scholarship and the Marvin Hamlisch Award, Amanda is proud to represent the excellence set forth by both of these music legends. She has furthered her operatic training in Europe as part of the Opera Theatre of Lucca, based in Lucca, Italy. In September of 2004, Amanda represented the state of Ohio at the Miss America Competition, where she was a talent award winner. As Miss Ohio, Amanda launched a state wide speaking tour promoting Youngstown State University's SMARTS - Student's Motivated by the Arts program, as a model for quality arts education. Amanda continues to serve SMARTS as a teaching artist. Amanda and her fiancée Craig Raymaley recently founded Bel Duetto, INC - a contemporary classical crossover act specializing in an extensive repertoire of opera, contemporary crossover, Broadway, and jazz.

07mccormick: Michael McCormick

Michael is a career educator and holds a Master’s degree in organic chemistry from Emory University in Atlanta. He is currently a Senior Lecturer at Emory University and has extensive teaching and research experience in the areas of general and organic chemistry. He is the author of numerous professional publications, the most recent of which was presented at the International Conference on Chemical Education in Beijing, China. Michael is also an accomplished musician and vocalist, and he was a featured flutist with the renowned Highland Orchestra in Virginia and featured tenor with the Emory and Henry College concert choir. Michael has also served as a State judge in the Miss USA/Miss Universe Organization.







katherinecain: Katherine Cain

Katherine has been involved in the world of pageantry for over eight years, competing as a Top 5 Finalist in both Miss Indiana USA and also Miss Indiana (America). A graduate of Indiana University, she has also had over twelve years of dance training, including gymnastics, tap, jazz, and clogging. Currently, Katherine serves as Senior Event Coordinator with the Riley Children’s Foundation, the fundraising arm for one of the top 20 children’s hospitals in the United States. She is also a professional model and image consultant, and enjoys coaching contestants and judging pageants in both the Miss America and Miss USA programs.







Maria Jones

Maria has been involved with pageantry for over a decade in many different capacities. She has served as the Choreographer and Executive Director of the Olde Canal Days Queen’s Pageant, local Executive Director and Producer of the Miss Canal Fulton and Miss Buckeye State Pageants, and Scholarship Chairperson for the Miss Summit County Organization. Over the last several years, Maria has been spending her time as a pageant and image consultant for her successful business, Crowning Achievements. Several of her clients have gone on to achieve success in the America, USA, and International systems, including Miss Ohio 2004 and Miss America Non-finalist Talent Award winner, Amanda Beagle; Miss Ohio 2005 Marlia Fontaine, and our current Miss Ohio, Melanie Murphy. Maria has recently ventured into talent management, and serves as Manager for the up and coming opera super duet, bel Duetto.
